Skiing and Snowbaording
doesn't get any better than the Teton experience. Light and dry
powder is abundant and the scenery is awesome. The most often heard
adjective describing the day's skiing and riding in local restaurants
and hangouts is "EPIC". Do yourself a favor. Ski the Tetons at least
once in your lifetime. Your first time won't be your last.
The hallmark of the
Teton Valley Winter experience is Grand
Targhee Resort. Enjoy
over 2,000 acres of nature's finest combination of snow, terrain and
smiles. Everyone is always smiling at Grand Targhee. The causes are
many and usually start with the fact that 1500 skiers on the mountain
is considered a "crowd." What this means for you is no waiting in lift
lines and plenty of the over 500 inches of annual snowfall for you.
'Not just any snow either. Grand Targhee consistantly ranks in the
top two ski resorts worldwide for snow quality. That's right,
the best snow on Earth falls in the Teton Mountain Range. Check out the
photos on their website: www.grandtarghee.com Then book accomodations for your visit.
The first lift accessed
skiing in the Teton area began at Snowking Resort just
over Teton Pass in Jackson, Wyoming. You can still ride the 3 lifts and
enjoy night skiing, a separate snow tubing area and man made snow when
Winter is a late arrival to the Tetons.
Looking for the most
vertical in a United States mountain resort? It's here in the
Tetons. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort boasts the highest continual vertical
ski resort rise at 4,189 feet and it's located 30 to 45 minutes from
Teton Valley. Considered the true master of American ski resorts, I
could gush for pages about this resort but I will let their website do
it: www.jacksonhole.com
